News and Information

As stated at our 2016 Annual Conference, one of the primary goals of AKCH2 this year is to increase data transparency. Availability of up-to-date and accurate homelessness data a key component to localized advocacy and community education. With the help of our Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) lead organization, The Institute for Community Alliances, we have developed the first-ever HMIS data dashboard. The dashboard features system performance, demographic, and shelter utilization data. In addition, the dashboard contains a direct link to the latest Point in Time Count information.

The first roll-out of the dashboard contains statewide data that can also be broken out to the Anchorage or Balance of State Continuum of Care areas. We are currently working with on creating a feature to display information down to the individual community level in the Balance of State.
