Brian joined as the Executive Director in 2016 as the first FTE for AKCH2. At that time, the functions of AKCH2 were managing the CoC grant competition, hosting the annual conference, and contracting ICA for HMIS Lead activities.

Brian was raised in a family dedicated to public service and has always wanted to help create and sustain healthy communities, recognizing that Alaska can't have healthy communities when we have neighbors without safe and stable housing. 

Brian loves learning from and centering the voices of people with lived expertise and acknowledges they know what works and what needs to be improved in Alaska’s system of care. He finds it rewarding to witness Alaska’s homeless response system become more equitable and effective.

Brian loves traveling with his wife, creating music with friends and family, and aspires to be the best home cook he can be.
